Regenerative Permaculture Farm and Garden Podcast 29, Don’t forget to breathe and relax on regenerative permaculture systems.

Permaculture is not a lazy way to garden. This statement and reoccurring myth of regenerative permaculture is often said, but not so true in reality. Permaculture is lower on the energy scale of farming and gardening. All systems need work to get up and running and then to help as it matures. Anything of real value takes work, sorry but true. So if you are busting you butt putting him working in your systems, life will still happen to you. Just because you are doing the right thing, you do not get a free pass from life. So,….when life happens, don’t stress out. A good design can live without having work done on it everyday. Weeds will grow, the system may get saggy looking, that’s OK, breathe and get back to it when you can.

Permaculture and regenerative Design is the flow of a farm to cut waste and energy with high production and income. Good design can seem to complex to jump into. There is so much to think about, so many things we all want on our places. The issue becomes clear as we try to look at a space as a whole place and this is very difficult to design for, because it gets overwhelming. If we figure out what places or functions we need, we can design for that place and the functions and needs of that one place in the larger scope of things. Once we give a open space and real place of function, now we get design the one place to perform the tasks or that the place. Like a market garden is a place or a tree nursery is a place. As your designing a place, a good design lets the places of functions flow into in place of function.
